What is LPUNEST ?

• Lovely Professional University is conducting National Entrance and Scholarship Test (LPUNEST) 2019 for B.Tech aspirants.
• LPUNEST is National Entrance and Scholarship Test for admission to various programmes in Lovely Professional(DEEMED) University, Punjab(Jalandhar-Delhi G.T. Road).
• Lovely Professional University is recognized by the University Grants Commission(UGC), a statutory body of the Government of India.

Courses Offered:

• B.Tech: (4 years Programme)
• B.Tech. (Hons.): (4 years)
• Dual Degree B.Tech. - M.Tech. (6 Years)
• Integrated B.Tech. - M.Tech. (5 Years Programme)

Eligibility:

• Nationality: Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply for LPUNEST (B.Tech.)
• Qualifying Examination: Applicants appearing for LPUNEST (B.Tech.) should have either completed or shall be appearing in 2019, in final examination of 10+2 from Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi) or The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE, New Delhi) or State Board or any other Council, Institution, college etc. declared recognised by Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE), New Delhi or any other concerned apex body as applicable.

Eligibility Criteria in the Qualifying Examination::

• Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent (with Physics, Mathematics and English)* subject to qualifying LPUNEST (B.Tech.)
• For B.Tech. Biotechnology (BT), B.Tech. (Food Technology), B.Tech. (Biomedical Engineering) and Integrated B.Tech. - M.Tech. (Biotechnology).
  Subjects considered: Physics, Chemistry, English & either Maths or Biology or Biotechnology; other things remaining same as above.
• For B.Tech. Chemical Engineering (CHE) and B.Tech. (CHE - Petroleum)
  Subjects considered: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English; other things remaining same as above.

Application Procedure:

Mode of Application: Online & Offline

Application Fee:

• Application form will be in a format that can be processed by Optical Mark Reader (OMR).
• Cost of LPUNEST (B.Tech.) Kit (Application Form) is;
• Through online - Rs 500 (for boys) and Rs. 250 (for girls)
• Through offline - Rs 500 (for both boys and girls)
• Application fee once paid will not be refunded.

• Online Application : Apply through the University Website (Internet banking facility required).
• offline application: (manual) you need to Purchase LPUNEST-2019 Kit.Fill the full application form (OMR sheet).
• Semi-Online Application - In case applicant does not want to send the hard copy of purchased applicaiton form: Fill the application form at www.lpu.in
• When asked whether LPUNEST Kit already purchased or not, Click "Yes" if you have purchased the LPUNEST Kit. Fill the OMR sheet No. and Unique OMR code, in the given space.
• Submit and save the copy of complete application form for your reference.

Admit Cards & Slot Booking:

• All our correspondence including centre booking and issue of e-hall ticket/ Appointment Letter/ Admit Card details will be through email only.

Exam Pattern:

Mode of Exam: Online only

• The duration of the test is 150 minutes (2 hrs. 30 min.) and it consists of 110 objective type multiple choice questions (MCQs).
• Applicants can opt for either English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology.

Admission Procedure:

• After declaration of result, counselling and admission process will be conducted.
• Online counselling and Seat Allocation starts from 4th May 2019 onwards within the prescribed time limit. Based on the student's preference, the seat will be allocated. After the seat is allocated, the applicant needs to deposit the fee through Online Mode or manually by visiting the university campus/ Camp Office.
• Get your scorecard / rank.
• Fill the seat preference.
• The student can give a number of preferences (depending upon the choice of discipline)
• The applicant will be allotted a particular programme in the first round of counselling, based upon the availability of seat and preferences filled by the applicant.
• Download the allotment letter.
• Deposit initial payment of Rs. 10000/- (Application fee: Rs 500 for male; Rs 200 for female. Rest under Tuition fee of first semester.) to confirm the seat.
• Complete the Admission form.
• Upload the documents.
  • Date of Birth proof (Matric certificate, PAN card, Aadhaar card),
  • 10+2 Pass Certificate. In case the 10+2 certificate is not available at the time of filling this application form (recently appeared), it may be submitted later on also.
• All the submitted documents are to be verified from the originals within the prescribed timelines.
• Deposit the balance fee within the timelines prescribed by university.

Scholarships:

• On the basis of performance in LPUNEST (B.Tech.): Top 35% applicants" appearing for LPUNEST (B.Tech.) (subject to qualifying LPUNEST (B.Tech.)), will be eligible for Scholarship upto Rs 1.5 Lac per annum (i.e upto Rs 7.5 Lac in case of 5 years integrated Programme and Rs 6 Lac in case of 4 years for B.Tech. programmes as a whole) (depending on the performance of the student and programme in which he/ she has taken admission).

• The applicants, after Schedule I, who wants to improve the result may also appear for the second time in Schedule II. The application fee for such candidates will be Rs. 300. The better score will be considered for the final calculation of the cut-offs/ ranks. Round - III will be conducted, only if seats remain vacant.
• Applicants are strongly advised not to wait for the last dates as mentioned above and apply as well as book and appear for the exam at the earliest to avoid last month rush
