What is ICAR(AIEEA-UG) ?

• Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) conducts All India Entrance Examination for Agriculture(AIEEA)
• ICAR is an autonomous body responsible for co-ordinating agricultural education and research in India.It reports to the Department of Agricultural Research and Education, Ministry of Agriculture.

Why ICAR?

• 15% seats for Bachelor degree at State Agricultural Universities, Central Agricultural University Imphal, Central Universities with Agricultural Faculty (Banaras Hindu University; Viswa Bharati, Nagaland University and SHIATS Allahabad
• 100% seats at ICAR-Deemed-to-be-Universities (Bachelor degree at NDRI(National Dairy Research Institute), Karnal(Haryana) and RLB(Rani Lakshmi Bai) Central Agricultural University Jhansi(Uttar Pradesh).

Eligibility:

• Aspirants are eligible to apply for AIEEA UG 2018 if they are Indian Nationals and atleast 16 years of age as on August 31, 2018.
• Must have passed and obtained not less than 50% marks in aggregate for admission under General, UPS (Under Privileged State) and OBC categories or 40% marks in aggregate for admission under SC, ST and PC categories in 10+2 examination or equivalent/Inter (Agriculture) with PCM/ PCB/ PCMB/ PCA/ PCH subject combinations.
